I've tried about half of their regular baked-goods menu, and everything has been outstanding. It's certainly the best french bakery that I can remember visiting. My children and I have taken cooking classes there, and it's magic. Most of the crew are very pleasant to deal with.
Truly authentic French pastries. Reminds me of home 😊 The hatch Chile quiche was lovely. Also, had a vanilla eclair and pain au raisin to go. Takes me straight back to France! So glad to have this gem here in town.
The food is is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. Have been here twice already and will keep returning. We always get the tuna croissant and 2 or 3 chocolate pastries and it has been great everytime
My son and I have taken the 4 hands cooking classes and he is just finishing a week long camp. The kids camp is AMAZING!!! My son comes home every day just chattering about the delicious food he gets to make. Plus he brings home samples for us to try and the food is delicious! My 9 yr old is learning to cook and the mess isn’t in my kitchen which is also wonderful. If you have a kiddo interested in learning to cook this is a great option- highly recommended!
LOVED The French Kitchen! My father and i took a bread class yesterday and it was so fun! I learned a lot a felt confident when I got home to bake the rest of the dough that I made in class. The teacher, Blandine was great, you can tell that cooking is her passion and that she really likes sharing her knowledge. She is French and that made it even more genuine. Sometimes hard to understand, but honestly her hands on instructions made it easy to follow along. I want to take more classes here for sure! Sign up, you will not regret it! We were also treated with some samples from their kitchen that they sell in the cafe. Wonderful surprise and soooo delicious. The only negative, and they are working on it, is the website. It is hard to navigate. I didn't think it was that big of a deal since we were given a printout of the class schedule. You can also pick them up in the store. I had a really good latte before I left at the cafe. I would definitely come back for coffee and croissants. TIP: Their classes fill up super fast! Do not wait to book. We had to book this one out for a few months.
We went to the French Kitchen for the first time last Friday (1/25/19) for a Sauces cooking class. We had an absolute blast and would totally recommend them. Here are a couple remarks, however: the food is delicious (we had a few pastries before class - students get 10% off on the day of class), fresh and made with high quality ingredients. On that note, the only thing that for a split second made us think about a 4 star review instead was the interaction with the employee behind the counter; she could have been a little friendlier. As a complete opposite, Christie (one of our cooking instructors) was super welcoming and all smiles, back to 5 stars! Chef Blandine was at first a bit upset for we signed up for an advanced class without taking their recommended other 3 prior classes (we won't hold that against her. Without knowing our skills she could only imagine we would make the experience harder for everyone else). She was, however, pleasantly surprised that we could hold our ground in the kitchen and after that initial impression she was very helpful and welcoming, with a ton of knowledge to share (and here the 5 stars were reaffirmed). As far as the class, we left knowing that we would have not enjoyed a class any little bit less challenging. The Sauces class did not leave us a single minute to spare not even for a picture to take as a keepsake from the night. It is indeed challenging and we understand why they ask for previous experiences with them. We are, however, in our kitchen all the time and would rate ourselves as reasonably advanced cooks: that made for a night where we learned a lot and left with a taste for more.Well deserved 5 stars. We will come back for more.
