Cooking Class Assistant
& Food Delivery Driver

We are looking for someone who doesn’t mind switching hats!
We need a Cooking Class Assistant AND a Food Delivery Driver.
Combined, that makes one ever-changing, never dull, full-time position!

Start date is February 6th


The French Kitchen is a unique all-in-one experience with our authentic Bakery, Café, Cooking School, and Frozen Market. We have been teaching Cooking Classes for more than 10 years and currently have hundreds of classes on our calendar through December 2023. We not only survived a pandemic but thrived! We are busier than ever and expanded to include own in-house Delivery System for our Wholesale Business Partners, catering clients, and next-day residential deliveries.

Class Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Set-up and break-down cooking classes ingredients, recipes, supplies, and equipment
  • Interact professionally with guests during class; build rapport
  • Wash and put away dishes (dishwasher/by-hand) as well as linens (washer/dryer)
  • Clean food preparation areas, kitchen, or equipment
  • Stock ingredients, supplies, and equipment in designated areas
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload delivery van; Package fresh food items as needed
  • Organize, pack, and label delivery orders
  • Drive the assigned delivery route while safely operating Company Vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Must be able to work efficiently to meet established timelines
  • Must follow all health and safety regulations and traffic laws while driving
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs; Mobility required during the entire shift
  • Must be at least 21 years of age with Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record from the DMV for the last 3 years

Schedule:

  • Friday and Saturday: OFF
  • Sunday and Monday: Class Assistant – 9:00am to 5:00pm or 1:00pm to 9:00pm
  • Tuesday to Thursday: Delivery Driver – 12:00pm to approx. 3-5:00pm; Delivery schedule depends on number of deliveries; Will increase as we build up new delivery routes
  • Schedule may vary depending on holidays and special events
  • We can accommodate days off with advance notice
  • Start date is February 6th. Part-Time hours only until mid-March.

Pay:

  • UP TO $17.00 – 17.50 per hour
    • Base Pay: $14.50 per hour
    • Cash Tips from classes and deliveries
    • Credit Card Tips – adds approx. $2.50 – $3.00 per hour; based on hours worked
