Class Description
New for 2023! India Pale Ale – the reining king of craft beer styles ever since the movement began. This hop-focused ale has a long and interesting history, and I never get tired of telling the tale. This tasting also gives me the opportunity to introduce and talk about the spice of beer: hops. These flowers have almost magical properties that go way beyond flavoring and bittering beer. Due to the larger amount of alcohol inherent in this style, and the risk for palate burn out, we’ve limited the selection of beers to six. We could definitely do another IPA class — I would be overjoyed! The food pairings for this one will be in the form of imported cheeses, and a selection of smoked meats.
