Class Description

Try saying “Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte” three times fast. Known for its sour cherries and kirschwasser (Cherry Brandy), this regional specialty from the Black Forest region of Germany is one of the country’s most well-known desserts. In class, we will not only tackle baking and decorating this decadent dessert, but we’ll also infuse our own cherries with Brandy to add that authentic flavor of the Black Forest Cake. Have you wanted to learn how to work with chocolate? In class, Chef Nate will show you 3 separate chocolate tempering/working techniques to add that extra “je ne sais quoi” to your Black Forest Cake. During class, each student will build their own Black Forest Cake that serves 8-10 people to take home.
