Class Description
New for 2023! Cobbler recipes are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Varying by region, background, and Nanna’s secret recipe these fruit-based desserts all have a similar ancestry. By using fruits available at the time or tricks to transform off-season fruit and making a delicious, texturally interesting topping or under layers, we can span the breadth of some of the earliest truly American desserts. We will also work on a couple of accompaniments to serve with our desserts. At the end of class we will enjoy one of our creations warm with homemade vanilla ice cream and rum whipped cream plus have samples of 6 others to take with us.
