Class Description

New in 2024! Just in time to be ready for Christmas, Chef Nate brings this 1-hour primer on the most divisive of holiday treats. Students will start with fruit that has been soaking for months ahead of time. We will heat and combine fruit with butter, sugar, and spices and bake to delicate not dense delight. During baking time Chef Nate will discuss a brief history of fruit cakes. Students will take their own fruit cake home and realize that not all fruit cakes deserve the fate of the Manitou Fruitcake Toss. This is a seasonal class that only takes place in November.
