Class Description

New for 2024! The first in Chef Nate’s four-part miniseries on fruit-based sweets and desserts focused on the banana. Slightly sweet to overripe, the banana’s range is vast. In class, we will be making desserts after roasting, sautéing, baking or just marinating them as we talk about how the natural sugars in fruit are manipulated or altered to make a mouthwatering bite. Whether paired with alcohol, chocolate, or a simple custard, bananas are worth going bananas for.

In class we will produce a selection of bites to take home with us as well as sitting down and enjoying a fun riff on the classic bananas foster made with whiskey alongside some house-made vanilla ice cream. Ice cream will not be taught in class, but the recipe will be available to take home.

You don’t have to sign up for all the classes in the series, pick and choose as you desire.

This is a seasonal class that only takes place from October to April.
