Class Description

I have always loved the image of generations of family members in the kitchen creating the traditional holiday meal. My home was different. When I was growing up, my mother would slave away alone, sometimes for days, to assemble the perfect celebration meal. While my sister has been able to expertly recreate the classics of my youth, I enjoy making a range of traditional dishes from a variety of cultures to commemorate the holiday season. In our Happy Holidays Meal Class, our centerpiece will be the elegant Chestnut stuffed Roast Game Hens with Pan Gravy. We will make an array of side dishes from Potato Latkes (which we will enjoy in class) to Maple Roasted Parsnips. In true celebratory fashion, we will create party pleasing appetizers such as Oysters Rockefeller (we’ll eat those in class too) and a Pesto & Brie Tart. At the end of class, you will take home a portion of each remaining dish as well as brag worthy recipes to recreate and impress.
