Class Description

All you can eat breadsticks at the local Italian restaurant might sound like someone’s idea of the “best” of what Italian breads have to offer, but I say “No way!” I will take you through some classic Italian breads and some Italian American favorites – with my own special spin. We will discuss mixing, fermenting, shaping, and baking breads. In this savory forward class, I’ll show you the ‘bread’th of my skills… I can do more than just sweets! At the end of class, we’ll flavor our flatbread to enjoy as a class. These Italian breads are perfect to take to your next lunch meeting or luncheon with friends. Students will take home a selection of Italian breads to inspire them to whip up a Spaghetti Bolognese, Lasagna, or just open a really nice bottle of Italian wine.
