Class Description
Discontinued in 2024! For many people, Peruvian cuisine is often a major blind spot in their culinary knowledge. This Peruvian Classics class aims to fix that problem by exposing you to the unique tastes and flavors of this country. Peruvian food is all about highlighting the beautiful tastes that are naturally found in high-quality ingredients. Dishes like Ceviche (fish marinated in citrus and seasonings that originated in Peru) are deceptively simple in appearance but bring flavors you won’t soon forget. We’ll get to (safely) play with a little fire while making Lomo Saltado (Peruvian Stir-Fried Beef). Have you ever wanted to flambé something but have been too intimidated by the flames? Well, with this class you’ll learn how to do it under professional chef guidance. You will also learn different ways to plate your dish to entertain your family, and the different cooking method used in Peruvian gastronomy. At the end of this class, we will be hosting a roller coaster ride for your taste buds with a tasting. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of food to take home too!
You do not need to take Peruvian Classics 1 before taking Peruvian Classics 2.
