This class will transport you to my childhood kitchen table in South Carolina, to enjoy timeless classics like Shrimp & Grits and inspired twists like Peach & Prosciutto stuffed Pork Loin with Quinoa Salad. We will get to work on butchery techniques and basic knife skills. I will also provide plenty of helpful hints – from cleaning shellfish to getting the most out of your spices. We finish with a creative culinary contest where you will get to make your very own customizable versions of Hushpuppies (crispy cornmeal fritters) and Compound Butter. I cannot wait to share my homestyle favorites with you! At the end of class, you will take home a portion of each remaining dish as well as brag worthy recipes to recreate and impress.
