Class Description

Presenting the sequel to Chef Blandine’s successful tarts class: Sweet Tarts 2 – Part Deux!! Don’t worry if you haven’t taken Sweet Tarts 1, the skills from that class will be taught anew or refreshed. We will begin by making our own dough – a different version than used in Tarts 1 – that we will take home at the end of class. Other basic techniques we will cover include creams, custards, and ganaches. Whether you love or hate chocolate, whether fruit is your jam or you are nuts about nuts, this class has something for everyone! Throughout the class, Chef Nate will demonstrate techniques and tricks to make easy, delicious, and eye-catching tarts at home. At the end of class, we will enhance our 9th tart as we discuss plating techniques that will be enjoyed together as a class. Each student will also take home an 11” tart comprised of 8 different tarts as well as dough for your next tart. You do not need to have taken Sweet Tarts before taking this class.
