Class Description

New in 2024! In this class, we will make all of my childhood favorites that I learned from my Mom and Grandma.  We can’t talk about Vietnamese food without talking about Pho Bo, or Beef pho.  The broth is rich and beefy and the smell of goodness will fill up your house as your pot of Pho sits and simmers on the cooktop.  In the class I will show you how to use your instant pot to cheat so that you can still get the full day’s flavors, but only in a short amount of time.  Then we will make my all-time favorite, Banh cuon, or steamed rice rolls with ground pork served with freshly steamed Vietnamese pork bologna.  I can eat this dish for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!  After that, we will make a classic southern Vietnamese Chicken curry with sweet potatoes and I will serve the dish with fresh baguettes.  Growing up, every kid in Vietnam had their favorite thit kho made by their grandma, mom, or aunty.  This is the stewed pork that I had growing up eating when my mom would have it on the table at least once a week! The smell of the class will take you straight to the streets of Vietnam or my house!
