  • Rolled Cake

Class Description

Learn to make yule logs just in time for the holidays. A yule log or Bûche de Noël refers to log-shaped Christmas cakes. The traditional yule logs are rolled and covered with buttercream but you can now find many different types of more modern versions of the yule logs. Every year, bakeries in France are filled with hundreds of yule logs as this is the very typical Christmas dessert for French people. Please note this class only takes place in December. You will be making a traditional coffee buttercream log. You will also learn how to do meringue mushrooms for decorations. As you will leave the class with 1 cute log and meringues, we strongly recommend eating beforehand. The techniques learned in this class can be used for several other treats. No meal is served in this class. Please note this Yule Log freezes perfectly so you can save it for the holidays.
