I've tried about half of their regular baked-goods menu, and everything has been outstanding. It's certainly the best french bakery that I can remember visiting. My children and I have taken cooking classes there, and it's magic. Most of the crew are very pleasant to deal with.
Truly authentic French pastries. Reminds me of home 😊 The hatch Chile quiche was lovely. Also, had a vanilla eclair and pain au raisin to go. Takes me straight back to France! So glad to have this gem here in town.
The food is is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious. Have been here twice already and will keep returning. We always get the tuna croissant and 2 or 3 chocolate pastries and it has been great everytime
My son and I have taken the 4 hands cooking classes and he is just finishing a week long camp. The kids camp is AMAZING!!! My son comes home every day just chattering about the delicious food he gets to make. Plus he brings home samples for us to try and the food is delicious! My 9 yr old is learning to cook and the mess isn’t in my kitchen which is also wonderful. If you have a kiddo interested in learning to cook this is a great option- highly recommended!
LOVED The French Kitchen! My father and i took a bread class yesterday and it was so fun! I learned a lot a felt confident when I got home to bake the rest of the dough that I made in class. The teacher, Blandine was great, you can tell that cooking is her passion and that she really likes sharing her knowledge. She is French and that made it even more genuine. Sometimes hard to understand, but honestly her hands on instructions made it easy to follow along. I want to take more classes here for sure! Sign up, you will not regret it! We were also treated with some samples from their kitchen that they sell in the cafe. Wonderful surprise and soooo delicious. The only negative, and they are working on it, is the website. It is hard to navigate. I didn't think it was that big of a deal since we were given a printout of the class schedule. You can also pick them up in the store. I had a really good latte before I left at the cafe. I would definitely come back for coffee and croissants. TIP: Their classes fill up super fast! Do not wait to book. We had to book this one out for a few months.
We went to the French Kitchen for the first time last Friday (1/25/19) for a Sauces cooking class. We had an absolute blast and would totally recommend them. Here are a couple remarks, however: the food is delicious (we had a few pastries before class - students get 10% off on the day of class), fresh and made with high quality ingredients. On that note, the only thing that for a split second made us think about a 4 star review instead was the interaction with the employee behind the counter; she could have been a little friendlier. As a complete opposite, Christie (one of our cooking instructors) was super welcoming and all smiles, back to 5 stars! Chef Blandine was at first a bit upset for we signed up for an advanced class without taking their recommended other 3 prior classes (we won't hold that against her. Without knowing our skills she could only imagine we would make the experience harder for everyone else). She was, however, pleasantly surprised that we could hold our ground in the kitchen and after that initial impression she was very helpful and welcoming, with a ton of knowledge to share (and here the 5 stars were reaffirmed). As far as the class, we left knowing that we would have not enjoyed a class any little bit less challenging. The Sauces class did not leave us a single minute to spare not even for a picture to take as a keepsake from the night. It is indeed challenging and we understand why they ask for previous experiences with them. We are, however, in our kitchen all the time and would rate ourselves as reasonably advanced cooks: that made for a night where we learned a lot and left with a taste for more.Well deserved 5 stars. We will come back for more.
I have been at this place for more than 5 times and I must say I absolutely love it. I love the environment. It's so beautiful and calm only if it is not crowded. Right from the croissants, brioche, palmier and even pasteries like Opera, Napoleon everything is so dam amazinggggg and made to the perfection ! I can't wait to go back.
If I could give this place more stars, I would. My husband gifted me a cooking class for my birthday, and it did not disappoint. We had SO much fun here learning how to cook a new meal, and by the way, this is the best steak I have ever eaten...and I’ve been all over CO to have a steak. While I wish they didn’t put a limit on wine consumption, it probably is for the best...gotta keep your wits about you when you’re cooking in a fancy kitchen with open flames and hot pans. Their equipment is superb, but not nearly as amazing as the staff. We had Kristie as our chef and she was fun, charismatic, helpful and of course, patient and kind. Thank you for a wonderful, unforgettable evening. We will be back!
I was there yesterday morning right after they opened to get a selection of cake slices. Unfortunately, their website menu and in store menu vary greatly. All they had was carrot cake and a small gluten-free chocolate cake. If you want pastries check them out, if you want cakes stick with Marigolds or Kneaders, both are much more consistent.
The food is on a whole other level. It's so good that part of me doesn't want to leave this review to selfishly keep this place to myself. But it the restaurant deserves 5 stars in the truest sense of the rating.
Amazing classes! If you have any desire to learn to cook something new this is a great place to do it. I made bread in class one day then came home and made another batch on my own. Its great when what you learned can be applied and WORKS when you are in your home kitchen. Very hands on class. And a note to anyone with Gluten intolerance or even celiac, I was diagnosed 3 months ago but have found that because of the type of flour used at TFK I can enjoy 95% of their food without ANY issues. The flour is NOT gluten free, however the processes used to make it are much different. I am one of several people that I have come across who have had great luck controling celiac while using this European flour.
