Campaillou is a rustic and distinctive loaf similar to a rye sourdough with delicious caramel notes. The airy and flavorful crumb is encased in a thick and slightly cracked crust. Made with a high quality French flour, the higher hydration of the dough lends to an excellent shelf life; up to 3 days. This loaf freezes beautifully – simply thaw a slice for 20 minutes and enjoy!

The bread is formed in an oblong shape, ideal for sandwiches, as a breakfast bread, toasted or served fresh. Spread with salted butter, cheese, jam, or enjoy with your favorite soup or stew.
