Full-Time FOH Manager

In this key role, you will work to ensure a flawless customer experience, improved staff satisfaction,
and handle the daily requirements of our popular Café and Cooking School.

This is a unique opportunity to join our 4-in-1 Culinary Center featuring an authentic French bakery & café with casual Cooking Classes and a Frozen Market of gourmet, chef-prepared items, plus a Retail Boutique of professional equipment and ingredients. Work closely with the Owner and the Head of Production (BOH Manager) to meet established goals and explore new opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train FOH Staff including Café and Cooking Classes; Reduce turnover
  • Demonstrate our commitment to exceptional Customer Service
  • Proactively resolve customer service, staff, or facility issues
  • Improve efficiencies and develop performance systems to reduce costs
  • Create and implement new marketing strategies to increase revenue
  • Maintain Inventory, Ordering, and Supply Management systems
  • Ensure critical FOH Manager tasks are being covered when not at work; Put plans in place
  • Adhere to all food and safety regulations; Ensure cleanliness of equipment and facility
  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested by Management

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of Management and Customer Service experience required
  • Management degree preferred; Restaurant or food industry experience preferred
  • Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to lead FOH staff by example (attendance, work ethic, Customer Service, etc.)
  • Receptive to feedback and guidance
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities; Basic math skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; WordPress is a bonus
  • Mobility required during entire shift, including walking and standing for long periods of time; Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Schedule:

As a salaried, full-time position, the schedule and workload are not set. Time commitments can vary and may be intense during peak times as is common in the industry. Schedule will vary based on needs.

Estimated Schedule:

  • Sunday and Monday – Off
  • Tuesday through Friday – 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Saturday – 6:00am – 4:00pm; One weekend off per month

Salary:

  • $50,000 per year (Exempt Status)
  • Bonuses based on performance
