- French King Cake or Galette des Rois
- Almond Cream
Class Description
Now taught by Chef Nate! To celebrate Epiphany on January 6, French people eat a King Cake, usually made of puff pastry and almond cream. The cake has a small cute trinket inside and the person who gets the piece of cake with the trinket gets to be the queen or king! During this class, everyone will make one King cake for you to take home. At the end of class, discover the tradition with the group by sharing a cake made by your chef. This is a seasonal class that only takes place around January 6th. Please note the technique of puff pastry is not taught in this class (frozen vacuum sealed puff pastry is available in our store for purchase at 10% off at the end of your cooking class).
